We’re open! Wed–Fri: 4–10pm | Sat–Sun: 12–10pm
Pallet Brewing Company is a production brewery and taproom located in Maplewood, NJ. We make high-quality beer that has broad appeal, engaging both the average beer drinker and the beer connoisseur. We produce all styles of beer, including light and full-bodied IPAs, crisp lagers, and fun seasonal styles.
Pallet Brewing Company is about the beer, but it’s also about creating a sense of place. The brewery’s taproom serves as a cornerstone in our local community, and we see it as both a respite from the flurry of day-to-day life and a gathering place for friends and family.
Pallet Brewing is a family-owned business, run by Eric and Jesse McGowan. Eric and Jesse oversee the brewing and operations of the business, and they are supported by Walker Berry, the General Manager.
Eric is a co-owner and the Head Brewer. He has been brewing professionally since 2014, first with Night Shift Brewing in the Boston area, then with Red Bear Brewing and Aslin Beer Company in the DC area. You can usually find Eric either brewing beer or walking his dog, Chewie, but always without sleeves. Come say hi and talk about all things beer, DnD, and Star Wars.
Jesse is a co-owner and Director of Operations. She manages the paperwork (fun fun fun) and makes sure everyone has what they need to do their jobs. Jesse spends her days working for the City of Hoboken on transportation and parking projects. Catch her biking around Maplewood on the family cargo e-bike, hiking in South Mountain, or drinking a Canary at Pallet.
Walker is the General Manager. He started brewing at Brooklyn Brewery in 2015 and holds a brewing degree from the Siebel Institute of Technology. Before joining Pallet, he spent five years as Head Brewer at Four City Brewing. With over 10 years behind bars and in taprooms, he’s just as comfortable slinging drinks as he is talking hops. Outside of Pallet, you’ll find him cooking for Mi Bois Sandwiches, catching live music, or playing racquetball.
